Brava® Supporting Products
Our new Brava® range of supporting products features products that are designed to reduce leakage and protect the skin. They also help to achieve customized solutions for different body shapes and needs.
Security

The Alterna® range of ostomy appliances has solutions for colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy.
Alterna® 1-piece range
With Alterna® 1-piece closed and drainable bags, the adhesive is permanently fixed to the pouch. To change the pouch, the whole appliance is removed and replaced.
Alterna® 1-piece appliances are available with flat or convex baseplates. The broad assortment consists of various pre-cut or hole sizes which can be customized, with pouches in a variety of sizes available in transparent or opaque color.
Spiral adhesive, for security and skin friendliness
The Alterna® spiral adhesive is a combination of materials designed for security and protection in a spiral-structure, for:
- Secure adherence to your skin
- Absorption of moisture from your skin - providing skin friendliness and protection from irritation
A comfortable and discrete pouch
Alterna® 1-piece has a range of features designed to offer comfort and discretion:
- Self-adhesive closing clip at drainable bags - a self-adhesive soft closing clip is supplied with the pouch, giving a closure system that is both secure and easy to clean.
- Soft backing fabric - the side of the pouch that is in contact with the skin features a lining made of soft material, allowing the skin to breath and dries quickly after a shower or swim.
- Odor proof film - pouch is made of a material that is odor-proof
Convexity, for stomas that are difficult to manage
Alterna® 1-piece is available with convexity, designed to help a stoma that is difficult to manage, for example a stoma that is retracted, or located in a deep skin fold or scar. It applies moderate to high pressure on the peristomal skin to reduce the risk of leakage by allowing the stoma to protrude.

Alterna® 2-piece range
Alterna® 2-piece is a mechanical coupling with extra assurance
The pouch is fixed securely to the baseplate by a mechanical coupling system. An audible ‘click’ confirms the secure locking of the pouch to the baseplate.
Before the pouch is locked into position, it can be rotated into the desired position, without having to remove the pouch from the baseplate.
The pouch can be removed from the spiral adhesive baseplate, allowing the pouch to be changed more often than the adhesive baseplate.
Alterna® 2-piece appliances are available with a standard wear and extended wear baseplate, flat or with convexity. These are combined with drainable, closed or urostomy pouches, as well as a range of special solutions such as a night bag, minicap and much more. The broad assortment consists of a range of baseplates with pre-cut or hole sizes which can be customized, and with pouches in a variety of sizes available in transparent or opaque colour.
Spiral adhesive, for security and skin friendliness
The Alterna® spiral adhesive is a combination of materials designed for security and protection in a spiral-structure, for:
- cure adherence to your skin
- Absorption of moisture from your skin - providing skin friendliness and protection from irritation
- Alterna® [Extra] adhesive offers extra protection against aggressive output. It is suitable for people with an ileostomy or urostomy that has a more aggressive output which breaks down standard adhesives too quickly.
Convexity, for stomas that are difficult to manage
Alterna® 2-piece baseplates are available with two different levels of convexity, designed to help a stoma that is difficult to manage, for example a stoma that is flush, retracted, or located in a skin fold. It applies pressure on the peristomal skin to reduce the risk of leakage by allowing the stoma to protrude.
Convex light:
A solution for flush or slightly retracted stomas, providing extra security through light and delicate pressure on the abdomen.
Convex:
A solution for retracted stomas and deep skin folds and scars, providing extra security through moderate to high pressure on the abdomen.

Brava® Protective Seal
The Brava® Protective Seal is a new moldable, extended wear protective seal designed to create a secure fit between the stoma and ostomy barrier. It is durable and resistant to break down, even when it comes in contact with caustic output. The seal helps to maintain healthy skin by absorbing moisture from the skin surface, while maintaining its’ shape, adhesion to the skin, and secure seal around the stoma. It is easy to mold, so it can be applied over skin with dips, creases and folds, stays where you put it, and removes cleanly and easily away from the skin. The Brava® Protective Seal comes in three different sizes and two different thicknesses to offer a custom moldable, extended wear solution.
Brava® Mouldable ring
A mouldable ring is used to create a tight seal between the stoma and the appliance, thereby protecting the skin against stoma output.
The Brava® Mouldable Ring features a strengthened formulation that delivers longer-lasting protection against leakage, because it is designed to be the most durable ring enabling it to maintain a tighter fit. It is easy to use can be moulded to fit your body shape.
Brava® Elastic Tape
Tape is used to hold the base plate in place for extra security and longer wear time. The Brava® Elastic Tape is designed to keep your base plate securely in place while still allowing you freedom of movement.
It achieves this thanks to its elasticity. So even if you’re stretching for something on the top shelf or bending down to tie your shoe, you can rest assured that the tape will move with your body and keep your appliance firmly in place. This can mean greater security and longer wearing time of your appliance.
Brava® Belt
It is made of soft and comfortable material and has a discreet grey color. The belt comes in both a standard and XL size, which both are adjustable so you can fit it for your body. A belt can be very useful if your abdomen is uneven or rounded. It ensures the position of the baseplate for extra security.
Brava® Strip Paste
Strip paste is used to fill deeper cavities and folds, creating an even skin surface. An even surface allows the base plate to stick securely to the skin.
The Brava® Strip Paste can absorb moisture and improve the peristomal skin area. Tear off the length of strip you need and mould it into shape. The paste must be applied on clean, dry skin.
Brava® Adhesive Remover Spray and Wipe
Adhesive remover spray is used to make the removal of your appliance easier. The Brava® Adhesive Remover Spray is gentle and the can is able to be completely emptied. It doesn’t sting and dries within seconds so it does not affect further adhesion, leaving you ready to apply a new base plate
Adhesive remover wipes are used to gently remove adhesive residues on the skin. The Brava® Adhesive Remover can remove residue on the skin and dries within seconds. The wipe is practical when travelling because of its size.
Brava® Skin Barrier Spray and Wipe
Skin barrier spray provides a protective layer of film on the skin to protect it from output. The Brava® Skin Barrier Spray is sting-free and can reduce skin problems associated with body waste and adhesives. It dries within seconds and does not build up residues on the skin, leaving you ready to apply a new adhesive.

Brava® Powder
Powder is used to absorb moisture from the skin to allow the bag to adhere properly, especially if your skin is very moist. The Brava® Powder keeps the skin dry and reduces skin irritation.
Brava® Barrier Cream
Barrier cream is used to protect or sooth irritated skin from output.
The Brava® Barrier Cream can help manage sore, dry and irritated skin by providing a barrier and moisturising effect. The barrier is long-lasting and allows tapes and dressing to adhere to make sure that you can wear your appliance.
Brava® Protective Sheets
Protective sheets are used to protect irritated skin from output.
The Brava® Protective Sheets provide protection of the peristomal skin, and a ready surface for applying a new appliance.
Brava® Paste
The new alcohol free and durable Brava® Paste can help reduce leakage by filling creases and folds in the skin, thereby maintaining a tight fit between the stoma and appliance.
The alcohol-free formulation is skin-friendly, has a skin friendly pH-level and does not sting. The durable paste is resistant to breaking down or dissolving, thus protects the skin against output to avoid breakdown of the skin.
